2011–12 Nelson F.C. season : ウィキペディア英語版 | 2011–12 Nelson F.C. season
The 2011–12 season was the 28th season in the North West Counties Football League played by Nelson F.C., an English football club based in Nelson, Lancashire. It was their first season back in the North West Counties Football League First Division since the club resigned from the league in 2010. The season covers the period from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012. Nelson finished in 15th position in the North West Counties Football League First Division. They also reached the first round of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy. In August 2011, before the start of the season, Fayyaz Ahmed was named as the new chairman of the club. He took over the reins from Alan Pickering, who decided to resign Nelson from the league in July 2010 following a lack of sponsors and finance. Nelson appointed a new management team with Paul Paynter in charge and Abdul Khan as his assistant manager. In December 2011, Nelson mourned the death of twenty-year-old left-sided forward Jamie Powrie, who was found dead in his home in Penwortham, Lancashire. As a mark of respect, Nelson postponed their boxing day fixture with Holker Old Boys.〔 In February 2012, Paul Paynter admitted that he was finding life tough in the NWCFL First Division since the team reformed. This was in part due to Nelson having twelve games postponed consecutively from November.〔 ==Match results==
